Famagusta can be found on the east coast of Cyprus and is situated in a bay between Cape Eloea and Cape Greco. Famagusta was originally a small fishing village before it developed into a small port. Now, Famagusta is home to the deepest harbour on the island of Cyprus. Famagusta is the host to a culture and arts festival that takes place at the end of June each year.
